Tuition Rates & Fees

Fall 2023 – Spring 2024 In-State Tuition Rates

  • Undergraduate – $400.00 per credit hour
  • Graduates – $557.00 per credit hour (UMaine applies the in-state tuition rate to all graduate student tuition on all extramurally funded grants and contracts.)

 FY23 & 24 Graduate Student Stipend Rates

  • $26,667 minimum 12-month stipend for PhD Students, equivalent to:
  • $20,000.25 for 9-month appointment; or
  • $2,222.25 per month

 

  • $22,667 minimum 12-month stipend for Masters Students, equivalent to:
  • $17,000.25 for 9-month appointment; or
  • $1,888.92 per month

Graduate Student Health Insurance – Annual Premiums

  • 8/1/23 – 7/31/24 – $1,410 (1/2 of the full rate of $2820) for domestic student w/ no dependents
